The first trailer of the upcoming Netflix movie 'Shirley' is out.
Regina King stars as Shirley Chisolm, the first Black woman to be elected to Congress.
The film showcases her struggle and significant moments of her life.
Chisolm was the daughter of a Barbados-born maid and Guyanese labourer who made it to Congress and carved her way amid her White male colleagues.
It took Regina and her sister Reina 15 years in developing the film.
'Shirley' has been produced by Oscar winner Regina and her sister Reina King.
It also stars the late Lance Reddick, Lucas Hedges and Terence Howard.
John Ridley is the writer and director of the film.
'Shirley' will stream on Netflix from March 22.
