You can control high cholesterol by making slight changes to your diet.

If you have high cholesterol, you can bring slight change in your eating habits to control it.

Avoid eating certain foods or eat them in moderate amounts. Fried foods like french fries and onion rings should be avoided to manage high cholesterol.

Butter contains saturated fatty acids which can cause high level of cholesterol, so it should be consumed in moderate amount.

Baked goods are tasty but they contain high amount of butter which is not good for high cholesterol.

Cheese: Although it is high in calcium and protein, it also contains higher saturated fatty acids.

Tropical oils like palm oil or coconut oil seem to raise both good and bad cholesterol level, hence should be moderately consumed.

Beef: Doctors recommend eating beef in limited quantity as it contains high amount of saturated fat.

Sausages have the fattiest cut of meat and processed meat has high salt content. Both should be consumed modestly.
