A unique underground bunker, where a ballistic missile was placed once during the cold war, has now been converted into a three-bedroom house, according to Knews.com.
This underground house has all the comforts of a traditional home and is priced at about more than a million dollars.
As per the listing on WashingtonMissileBase.com, the bunker house is located at four hours drive from Seattle and just 36 Minute’s drive away from Spokane.
According to the listing the house covers an area of 16,740 square feet, has three furnished bedrooms, three bathrooms, a game room and a library.
It also has an elevator built by its previous owner who happened to be an engineer.
It has spare space for parking trucks, cars, RVs and storing surplus food. So, It has total area of 19, 172 square feet.
The advertisement says that the house is insulated from extreme temperatures as it is below the ground level. Therefore, the owner can save power.
The bunker served its function from 1961 to 1965. During that time, it was guarded 24 hours a day. It was one of the nine encircling Cheyenne.
